Pacific oysters in the Salish Sea may not contain as many microplastics as previously thought
Using advanced instrumentation in the Molecular Analysis Facility, an interdisciplinary team of researchers from the School of Aquatic & Fishery Sciences, Department of Chemistry and Department of Materials Science and Engineering investigated the extent of microplastic pollution in the Salish Sea.The MAF is part of the National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure (NNCI), a National Science Foundation-funded effort to coordinate nanoscale research and development activities across the United States, and is supported by NNCI-2025489 and NNCI-1542101.
